Job Description The Childrens Mercy Kansas City Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained, BC/BE Adolescent Medicine specialist to join the faculty. The duties of this full-time position are primarily as an academic clinician educator. The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (AYAMed) includes 6 adolescent and young adult medicine trained specialist faculty, 1 faculty pediatrician with eating disorder expertise, up to 3 fellows, 2 eating disorder nurse practitioners, a clinical pharmacogenomics PhD researcher/nurse practitioner, Title X Director/nurse practitioner, social workers, staff nurses, care assistants, and clinical research coordinators. This team provides outpatient care at 4 Childrens Mercy clinic locations in metro Kansas City, as well as Synergy Services, for unhoused youth. Each core AYAMed clinic is part of a robust Title X program supporting comprehensive reproductive health care services. Providers work alongside colleagues in several multidisciplinary specialty clinics providing care to adolescents and young adult (AYA) patients typically to 22 years of age. These clinics include: Eating Disorders Center, Gender Pathways Services, Medical Adolescent PCOS Program, and Complex Syncope Clinic among others. Inpatient consultations are provided at 2 Kansas City area Childrens Mercy Hospitals. Our Division works with each faculty member to support their career goals in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine. CMKC and the Department of Pediatrics is focused on developing and supporting leaders.
